Information about parking at Long Pocket and the Toowong office.

Long Pocket

Parking options

• Students, staff and visitors can park for free in the general parking zone (up to 3 hours).
• Staff can apply for a free parking permit to park all day.
• Students and staff based at St Lucia can park in the commuter car park and catch the cross-campus shuttle bus. Parking is free, but you must register your session in the PayStay app.
• Persons with Disability (PWD) permit parking is free and is available in most zones.

Motorcycles

• Students and staff can park for free, though you must register your session in the PayStay app.

• Visitors can park for a capped daily rate of $1.35. Payment is through the PayStay app.

Zones

• Green: staff permit parking.
• Blue: general parking for students, staff and visitors, excluding motorcycles, for up to 3 hours.
• Orange: motorcycles.
• Pink: St Lucia commuter parking for students and staff.

Service and commercial parking

• Free parking up to 2 hours for any service and commercially registered vehicles in designated bays.
• Drivers can also use loading zones (up to 30 minutes, unless otherwise signed).
• Construction contractors and sub-contractors cannot use these spaces.

Short-term loading vehicles (loading zones)

• Free parking for up to 30 minutes at all times.

Toowong

Parking options

• Students, staff and visitors can book and pay for casual parking in Spoto bays through the UQ Spoto app.
• Staff can apply for a fixed or flexible parking permit.
• Persons with Disability (PWD) permit parking is free and is available in most zones.

Casual rates

There is no limit on how long you can park in a Spoto bay. You'll be charged the capped daily rate each day.
