COVID-19 (coronavirus) advice for the UQ community - STUDENTS - Study Abroad and Incoming Exchange Students
Study abroad and incoming exchange
If I accept an offer and commence study at UQ in Semester 1, 2022 but am unable to continue, can I withdraw and have all fees refunded?
If travel restrictions prevent you from travelling to Australia to commence your studies in Semester 1, 2022 and you do not want to study online, you can request to defer your studies to a future semester.
I was planning a full year study abroad to UQ commencing in Semester 1, 2022. What are my options if I am not able to arrive in time for Semester 1, 2022?
You can study with UQ online in Semester 1, 2022 if your preferred courses are available in external mode. Once the Australian Government travel restrictions are lifted, you can travel to Australia to continue your studies. However, you may still need to complete your Semester 1 courses in external mode. You will need a valid Student Visa to enter Australia.
I was planning to come to UQ on exchange in 2022. What are my options?
Incoming exchange has been cancelled for Semester 1 (February – June) in 2022. If you have already applied, we will withdraw your application. Depending on your circumstances, you may be able to apply for a future semester. Please consult with your home university regarding your options as you may need to be re-nominated.
