Dr Jon Olsen is an Associate Professor at the Institute for Social Science, The University of Queensland, and Director of the AURIN UQ-Node. His research examines how built and natural environments—and the urban planning policies that shape them—affect health outcomes and contribute to health inequalities. His work bridges public health, urban studies, and human geography, with a strong focus on the connections between human and planetary health.
Jon is also Senior Editor of Urban Transitions, serves on the Editorial Board of Wellbeing, Space and Society, and is an Honorary Senior Research Fellow at the University of Glasgow.
