Investing in St Lucia and CBD campuses

Student experience, connected community and world-class facilities are central to UQ planning for the future. Our development of an on-campus student residence, health and recreation centre, and a landmark CBD location, will further strengthen our attraction to the world’s best students, staff and researchers.

These projects are designed to support everyone in the community. Providing access to facilities and services that enriches our environment and strengthens UQ’s position as a top 50 global university.

Brisbane CBD
campus

UQ is more than doubling its footprint in the centre of Brisbane with the purchase of two iconic buildings in the City. The purchase allows UQ to meet increasing demand for CBD-based study in areas including executive education, lifelong learning and micro-credentialing, as well as continuing professional development.

The University has bought heritage-listed ‘The Chambers’ on 308 Queen Street, and 88 Creek Street. The two buildings combined provide 3,516m2 and will help UQ build even stronger connections with business and government.
