Emeritus Professor John Mangan

John joined UQ in 1991 and has divided his time there between academia, the public service and consultancy. He is an emeritus Professor of Economics within the UQ Business School, Special Advisor, OGE (Economic Impact) and was the inaugural Director of the Australian Institute for Business and Economics (2014-15). An editor on the International Journal of Manpower and member of the Economic Society of Australia (Qld branch) and Australasian Regional Science Association International, Royal Economic Society and Labour Economics Group (UK), John has extensive industry consultative experience including Taskforce, Commissions of Inquiry and Review Committees.
