Qualifications

  • Doctor of Philosophy, University of Calgary

Research interests

  • Patient and family caregiver outcomes

    Post-stroke care and neurorehabilitation

  • Transitional care and outcomes

Adaptation, coping, and outcomes as patients transition across care setting

  • Complexity and cultural diversity

Impact of patient complexity and cultural diversity on transitions and life post-stroke

Research impacts

Research impact will be reflected in the integrated family & patient centred nature of my work. Develping a family-integrated model of care for those requiring rehabilitation/restorative care will ensure the family system, cultural values and expectations are considered in the design and practice of rehabilitation nursing.
