Translating health discoveries into products (2011-2015)

Abstract

A consortium of five leading Queensland Centres were awarded $5.9M in 2011 from the Commonwealth Government's $35M Education Investement Fund Initiative, to establish a unique QLD-based facility under the auspices of 'Therapeutic Innovation Australia (TIA)', for translating university-based life sciences discoveries into products for commercialization. Co-investement funding of $2M is requested to leverage the EIF funding plus $780,000 from th epartners to undertake four exemplar 'translational' projects.
