The Queensland Centre for Olympic and Paralympic Studies

Since 2000, the Queensland Centre for Olympic and Paralympic Studies (QCOPS) has driven research and innovation across sport, health, and the Olympic and Paralympic movement. Leading up to Brisbane 2032, QCOPS unites academia, industry, government, and community partners to spark innovation and ensure a lasting legacy.

International Testing Agency Academic Centre

The University of Queensland has partnered with the International Testing Agency (ITA) to deliver specialised anti-doping education and training as the world’s second ITA Academic Centre. Through this partnership, UQ will help advance clean sport globally by training doping control officers, blood collection officers, chaperones, and clean sport educators. This collaboration highlights UQ’s commitment to excellence, integrity, and fair play in sport.

UQ-ITA Academy Research Grant - now open

A grant of up to $30,000 will be made available for an Early to Mid-Career Researcher to complete a research project on a Compliance Audit of Therapeutic Use Exemptions across four Olympic Games. The project will span 9 months, including 9-12 weeks at the ITA Office in Lausanne, Switzerland. Find out more information, and how to apply.

Future Champions: Sport Experience Day

Engage in interactive sessions on sport technology, coaching, testing and sustainability at this event and learn more about study and career options to prepare for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games and beyond. The day is aimed at students from years 10-12, and will be hosted at the UQ Gatton campus.
