Intercampus bus service

A free bus service runs between St Lucia and Gatton campuses for UQ staff and students.

Seat belt requirement: all passengers are required to fasten their seat belt if one is available.

Before boarding, you must show:

a booking confirmation
or a temporary pass from your school or director (available via transport@uq.edu.au).

Booking is required and should be made at least one day ahead.

Buses may display either UQ or Belbaker branding.

Runs Monday to Friday
No service on Queensland state public holidays, but runs on local public holidays such as show days
Arrive 5 mins early and hail the driver

Bookings must be made at least one day before travel. Same-day bookings aren’t accepted.

You can book multiple trips in one booking. No need to select a stop – just choose your direction.

If you can’t catch a bus, open the confirmation email that was sent to you and:

The intercampus bus is managed by the Property and Facilities Division and operated by Belbaker Group PTY LTD.

Terms and conditions of use are as follows:

the intercampus bus service is restricted to UQ staff and students. It is not a public service.
passengers must use their UQ ID card to tap on and off the bus each time.
all passengers are required to fasten their seat belt if one is available when travelling.
UQ staff and students are required to use the online booking system to book their trip at least a 24hrs prior to their journey.
the intercampus bus service does not operate on state public holidays but will operate on local public holidays (i.e. Gatton, Brisbane or Ipswich Show Days).
