Age-friendly university

With age comes a rich depth of knowledge, perspective, and experience — qualities that help communities thrive.

At UQ, we celebrate this momentum and the important role people of all ages play in enriching University life.

We nurture an inclusive, respectful environment for all and are working with like-minded partners locally and globally to expand participation, support lifelong learning, and recognise the unique needs and contributions of older adults.

Age-Friendly University Global Network

We’re proud to lead as the first university in the Southern Hemisphere to join the Age-Friendly University Global Network.

Together with more than 100 institutions worldwide, we’re advancing new ways to support older people and embrace the opportunities that come with living longer, more connected lives.
