Sustainability
Making an impact
From groundbreaking research to teaching the next generation of leaders, we're working to create long-lasting sustainability outcomes and a brighter future. We're committed to the United Nations definition of sustainability as 'meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs'.

Strategy
Our strategy sets the direction for our sustainability efforts, driving our commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and delivering real outcomes.
What we're doing
Sustainability is embedded throughout our teaching, operations and research. At the heart of our sustainability agenda is our commitment to seek solutions to sustainability challenges, and prepare our students and staff to make a difference.
Teaching future leaders
Core sustainability learning outcomes are embedded across the curriculum so we prepare our students to inspire and change the world around them.
Innovative research
We're sourcing solutions to sustainability challenges by asking the right questions, and exchanging knowledge, understanding and resources to address them.
Growing lower emissions transport
We have electric vehicle charging stations, pedestrian priority pathways, bicycle racks, end-of-trip facilities and a fleet of zero-emission vehicles.
Protecting environments
Our vegetation corridors, bird boxes, environmental park, revegetation projects, wildlife habitats, native plantings, and sustainable weed and pest management practices conserve natural resources and protect wildlife.
