Education and training
We're committed to creating a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for all students, staff and members of the broader UQ community.
Training
Students, staff and affiliates can access a range of face-to-face and online workshops and educational sessions throughout the year. Sessions include safe events planning, creating safe clubs and societies, and trauma-informed responses to disclosures.
Respect at UQ
Mandatory
Learn how we can all contribute to a culture of consent and respect, and how we can best support someone who has experienced gender-based violence. Refresher training for students is required every 2 years.
Ethical bystander
Recommended
Our ethical bystander training is available to all students, staff and affiliates. This interactive 2.5-hour session can be tailored to a specific cohort (such as a club, college or UQ business area) and focuses on providing practical strategies for addressing inappropriate behaviours.
- Staff – Register for an ethical bystander training session
- Students and affiliates – Express your interest in ethical bystander training
