NHMRC Training (Postdoctoral) Fellowship: Optimising outcomes for Cerebral Palsy: RCT of a parenting intervention. (2010-2018)

Abstract

Parenting a child with cerebral palsy can bring additional challenges to the parenting experience. Our aim is to validate a parenting intervention for parents of children with cerebral palsy. The parenting intervention (Stepping Stones Triple P & Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) has the potential to impact behavoural problems, functional capability and performance, quality of life and emotional regulation along with parent's ability to manage their child's health and parental stress.
