How your gift helps

  • $50 could purchase conservation and cleaning materials for the collection’s wooden surgical instrument boxes, many of which date from the late 1800s.
  • $100 could purchase archival mylar sleeves for our collection of Trephine magazines. Many editions are extremely rare and as a collection they reflect an important part of Faculty history.
  • $500 could purchase equipment to digitise our collection of vinyl records, which capture unique medical lectures from the 40s, 50s and 60s.
  • $1500 could contribute to the refurbishment of historic exhibition cases of the Mayne Medical building, including improved locks and environmental buffers for protecting collection objects on display.
  • $3000 could purchase an interactive AV display for visitors, enabling the Museum to show historic and significant films from the collection, such as the ground-breaking study 'A 2-year-old goes to hospital'.
  • $100,000 or more could contribute to new industry-standard storage facilities for the collection, ensuring its preservation for generations to come.
