Novel Sodium Ion Channel Modulators From Australian Cephalopods (2006-2008)

Abstract

To detect, isolate and identify the molecular structure of novel sodium ion channel modulators from Australian cephalopods. To define the mode of action, potency and selectivity of these modulators, and assess their potential as bioprobes in molecular pharmacology, and as drug lead candidates against diseases such as chronic pain.
