High-throughput, high resolution protein-peptide sequencing and quantification facility (2011-2012)

Abstract

The High-Throughput, High Resolution Protein-Peptide Sequencing and Quantification Facility will provide researchers with the premier mass spectrometry facilities in Australia. This will lead to efficient and effective identification of novel proteins and peptides involved in or modulators of a wide diversity of biological processes. These studies will enhance our understanding of cellular processes and lead to the discovery of biomarkers for disease mechanisms as well as natural products with therapeutic potential. The platform will also provide a markedly enhanced ability to sequence bioactive peptides and proteins at lower abundance in more complex mixtures with speed and efficiency.
