The Role of RNA interference in the induction of immune responses (2008-2009)

Abstract

We have discovered a new way to alert the immune system to cancer cells and here wish to explore the basic mechanisms by which this occurs as well as find out how widespread the phenomenon is. This work has the potential to change the way we think about the immune system and will open up new avenues of investigation not only in basic immunology and molecular biology but also in biotechnology. This is significant as it may offer us a new way to treat animals and people. ,
