Developing human-centred risk approaches that transform industry (2017-2019)

Abstract

Today industry faces an increasing complexity of rapidly changing risks that can undermine sustainable competitiveness making effective risk management a priority issue. The aim of the fellowship is to establish UQ R!SK as strategic, inter-disciplinary UQ initiative that is recognised as a leader in the development of innovative, human-centred risk approaches that transform industry. The fellowship would build my capability in establishing strategic academic-industry collaborations that focus on discovering and scientifically testing novel research and education solutions that help high hazard industries effectively manage contemporary risks in ways that deliver step change improvements in human well-being and overall system performance.
