A cross-national comparison of novel market-pull technology transfer programs which facilitate research organisation commercialisation through dynamic SMEs. (2006-2008)

Abstract

The project involves an analysis of policy programs to facilitate the transfer of knowledge from research organisations to technology intensive SMEs. It is original because it involves an analysis of market-pull technology transfer in which the market needs of SMEs drive technology transfer from research organisations. Prior research has focused on technology push initiatives involving the commercialisation of knowledge from research institutions. The project is also original because of its emphasis on SMEs. Prior research on university industry relations has focused on large firms. The research will involve a comparative analysis of internationally distinctive market-pull technology transfer programs focused on SMEs in four countries
