Overview

Background

Dr. Hanh Dao is a nurse academic with experience in clinical practice, university teaching, and health research across diverse cultures and contexts. Her research areas include outcome measurement, aged care, health behavior, health promotion, heallth services and health workforce. Dr. Dao obtained a prestigious post-graduate research award for her PhD during 2013-1017. She has also earned multiple writing and travel awards, enabling her to disseminate her research at national and international conferences and in peer-reviewed journals since then. In 2024, Hanh received CHSR early career researcher award for her annual research performance. Dr. Hanh Dao led a multi-disciplinary health research team and secured a UQ Global Strategy and Partnerships Seed Funding to foster international nursing research collaborations with multiple universities and healthcare organizations.

Her research outcomes have been published in high quality peer review academic Journals and received a number of citations. Her published health outcome measurements, for example: The Vietnamese versions of the Diabetes Self-Management Instrument and the Perceived Stress Scale, have been widely used nationally and internationally across various disciplines.

    The quality of care for people with dementia in routine care setting were often measured using self-report scales. The quality of these measurement is limited known. This project aims to evaluate the validty and reliability of self-report scales to measure core outcomes for people living with dementia in routine care setting.
