  • Teaching for Thinking

    My research and practice in this area focuses on the development of teacher pedagogical expertise in Teaching for Thinking.

  • Public reasoning

    My work in this area includes the public understanding of science, group and individual decision-making and critical thinking in politics.

  • Critical thinking

    The teaching of critical thinking is optimised by using a clear and actionable understanding of its constituent skills. Theorising critical thinking so the pedagogical pathway to achieving it becomes clear is a major focus of my work.
