
Overview
Background
Angela Brandenburg is the Student Academic Support Lead for Phase 1 (Years 1 & 2) of the Medicine Program. Angela has a teaching and research background in biomedical science, public policy and ethics, and public health. With a strong background in medical education and science communication, Angela has recently completed a postgraduate qualification in higher education.
The role of Student Academic Support Lead is a newly created role as part of the Medical Student Support Strategy 2018 - 2020. In this new role, Angela will now also provide a further layer of support for students needing additional help via individualised advice and support. The role will have proactive and reactive elements.
Prior to this role, Angela was already a highly experienced Course Coordinator and academic within the Medical Program. From 2004 – 2015, Angela was a case-based learning tutor for Years 1 and 2 and from 2015 commenced in a full time medical education role to design, develop and deliver courses in the Medical Program.
