Quantum Integrable Systems and Applications: From Condensed Matter to Quantum Information (2006-2008)

Abstract

Integrable quantum systems are the subject of high-profile research activity worldwide. They involve powerful new mathematics and have important applications to a variety of areas ranging from condensed matter physics to quantum information. This project harnesses the expertise of outstanding international investigators to develop novel techniques which will facilitate studies into behaviours of quantum dynamics, quantum correlations, quantum phase transitions and quantum entanglement. Such theoretical results will provide deep insights into the complex nature of physical principles governing quantum integrable systems and significantly broaden their applications.
