Validating fine-needle aspiration of solid tumours in dogs as a minimally invasive alternative to biopsy for assessing tumour microenvironment (2016-2018)

Abstract

Dr Allavena' s project examines the use of fine-needle aspiration as a minimally invasive alternative to biopsy for assessing the tumour immune microenvironment in dogs. The validation of FNA as a replacement for biopsy would result in major improvements in animal safety, welfare and reduced research costs.
