Monitoring Social Events for User Online Behaviour Analytics (2017-2020)

Abstract

As the amount of online behaviour data keeps growing exponentially, online behaviour analytics is becoming increasingly important in social, commercial, and political environments. In view of the deficiency of existing methods that rely on user profiles only, in this project we aim to investigate the influence of the public attention on steering user online behaviour. The innovative outcomes include a new paradigm which unifies external social events with user profiles for behaviour analytics, accommodated with a set of novel approaches for event database indexing, event-influenced behaviour modelling and prediction. The success of this project will help enhance user¿s online experience and improve e-commerce¿s market value.
