Eliminating unstable oscillations to accelerate decarbonisation
Abstract
This project aims to eliminate oscillation stability problems caused by multiple renewable generators (solar/wind farms). This project will overcome the limitations of existing technologies in variable oscillation source identification and real-time oscillation control. Expected outcomes include developing breakthrough methodologies to accurately recognise and mitigate oscillation stability problems in real-time based on big data and adaptive control technologies. The outcomes will contribute fundamental knowledge and improved technologies to enhance the operating security of power networks with high renewable energy integration, as well as promote a low-carbon emission economy in Australia.
