Linking individual differences in human visual cortex and perception
Abstract
This project aims to unveil the fundamental principles governing individual variability in human visual cortex organisation and its impact on visual perception. Uncovering these principles offers a critical stepping stone towards understanding perceptual differences observed between individuals. Beyond foundational insights, this research may prove crucial for new computational models that mimic the complexity of biological brains. The expected outcomes are novel insights into brain organisation and new methods to explore brain function. These outcomes will benefit researchers across domains studying brain function and behaviour, contributing to Australia's cognitive neuroscience landscape.
