Dual bovine venereal disease vaccine proof-of-concept trial (2025-2026)

Abstract

Bovine trichomonosis and bovine genital campylobacteriosis are venereal diseases of cattle which are spread by asymptomatic bulls during mating which leads to infertility or early abortion. The aim of the project is to conduct a cattle trial to test a new dual bovine venereal disease vaccine from vaccines which have been tested separately in proof-of-concept trials (TRL4). A combination vaccine (TRL5) is more attractive to cattle producers and thus commercially translatable.
