Who are we
The UQ Clinical Trials Centre (CTC) is a specialist centre that combines operational expertise with the methodological leadership of the ULTRA team to support the design, conduct, analysis, and translation of clinical trials.
How we collaborate
We collaborate with UQ researchers to develop and deliver high-quality investigator-initiated clinical trials that improve healthcare and health outcomes. Through our multidisciplinary team and our partnerships, we bring together expertise in:
- trial management
- biostatistics, including Bayesian and adaptive methods
- data management and database development
- implementation science
- qualitative and mixed-methods research
- health economics
- consumer and community involvement.
Working collaboratively across the clinical trial lifecycle, we support projects from early study design through to trial delivery, analysis, reporting and translation into practice. Through this integrated approach, we help researchers deliver scientifically robust, operationally efficient trials that generate evidence to inform policy, practice and patient care.

Collaborate with us
Our primary focus is the design and delivery of UQ-sponsored multicentre randomised controlled trials. We also consider feasibility and pilot studies, single-centre RCTs, and high-impact cohort studies that demonstrate a strong likelihood of progressing to multicentre trials or generating evidence capable of influencing clinical practice and health policy.
Through this approach, we seek to support research with the greatest potential to improve health outcomes and deliver meaningful real-world impact.
