  • Next-generation antenna design using advanced manufacturing techniques

    The evolution of modern communications and sensing systems is presenting interesting challenges and opportunities on antenna systems. Modern antennas are expected to operate in dynamic environments and serve multiple functionalities. Considering the emphasis on platform integrated and embedded antennas, you will investigate novel design directions such as conformal antennas, gradient index and layered array structures that can be realized using advanced manufacturing techniques. Desired functionalities such as beam reconfiguration, gain and bandwidth enhancement will be investigated. Outcomes are expected to advance antenna system design and open new application areas for microwave technology.
