Defining domains within Mycoplasma hyopneumaoniae surface proteins that interact with host extracellular matrix: efficacy testing of candidate vaccines in swine (2011)

Abstract

Mycoplasma hyponeumoniae causes porcine enzootic pneumonia, an economically significant disease impacting on swine production. Current vaccines are unable to prevent colonisation of the respiratory trace and are costly to administer. This project will define the functional domains of cell-surface adhesins important to the colonisation process.
