Comprehensive cell imaging facility (ARC LIEF Grant administered by QUT) (2011-2012)

Abstract

The Comprehensive Cell Imaging Facility (CCIF) will provide researchers with the capacity to undertake high resolution live cell imaging and analysis both in-vitro and in-vivo to elucidate the biological mechanisms and interactions that underpin biological systems in health and disease. The CCIF will enable high resolution visualisation of cellular/intracellular processes in both live and fixed cells; fluorescence and bioluminescence analysis and purification of target cell subsets; and real time tracking and visualisation of target cell migration and function within live animal systems. This combination of high performance in-vitro and in-vivo cellular imaging capability will facilitate important basic and applied biological research.
