Development of a novel class of single-dose immune stimulators.

Abstract

This project aims to investigate a unique class of potent lipid-based immunostimulants; agents that activate an immune system. This project expects to generate new knowledge in the area of immunology using an innovative quality-by-design approach. Expected outcomes of this project include the creation of highly desirable, safe, and potent immunostimulants for numerous uses, including research tools. In the future, this should provide significant international benefits, addressing the lack of commercial immunostimulants that induce powerful immune responses against foreign substances (antigens), while maintaining a good safety profile and the outcomes of this research may be used for the development of veterinary and human vaccines.
