St Lucia campus
About St Lucia
UQ St Lucia is the University’s flagship campus for multidisciplinary teaching and research across science, humanities, engineering, business and health.
Located 7 kilometres from Brisbane’s city centre, the campus supports all UQ faculties as well as globally recognised research institutes and centres, bringing together industry and academia on site.
Spanning 114 hectares along the Brisbane River and centred around the heritage‑listed Great Court, the campus features modern teaching and research spaces, advanced laboratories and Queensland’s largest research library.
The campus also offers student accommodation, the state’s largest sporting precinct, museums and art collections, and vast greenspaces – including UQ Lakes and the iconic jacaranda trees – that enrich campus life.
