Research interests

  • The Political Economy of Media and Digital Institutions

    A key area of research that I have focussed is the shaping power of media and digital institutions. My research has focussed on understanding broadcasting institutions, digital platforms and data centres.

  • Communications and Social Change

    I am interested in new inter-disciplinary approaches to understanding communications for social change, the role played by context, new theorists especially from the Global South, the contributions from social movements, community connectivity.
