Overview

Background

Dr Kalina Rossa is a Research Fellow at the Child Health Research Centre whose research aims to improve sleep, mental health, and wellbeing across adolescence and young adulthood. Her work focuses on understanding the behavioural, cognitive, and emotional consequences of insufficient and poor-quality sleep, and translating this knowledge into effective and accessible interventions. She has expertise in clinical trial design and implementation, behavioural intervention development, psychophysiological assessment, and the collection of objective physiological and behavioural data in both laboratory and real-world settings. Her current research includes developing and evaluating sleep interventions for university students, co-designing more inclusive sleep health programs for neurodivergent populations, and investigating the links between sleep, wellbeing, digital technology use, and risk-related behaviours.
