    José’s research in surgical education focuses on developing low-cost simulation models and technology-enhanced training tools that make skill acquisition more effective, inclusive, and accessible. His work explores innovative approaches to clinical teaching, learner confidence, and competence development in veterinary surgery and procedural training.

  • Comparative Oncology and Translational Cancer Research

    José’s research in comparative oncology examines tumour biology and therapeutic innovation in small animals, with a focus on immunotherapy, biomarker discovery, and drug repurposing. His goal is to advance evidence-based treatments that improve patient outcomes and build stronger translational links between veterinary and human oncology.
