My research interest involves molecular epidemiology of livestock bacterial infectious diseases. I have been mainly focused on the members of the bacterial family Pasteurellaceae that cause respiratory diseases in livestock and wildlife. This includes studying well known bacteria like Pasteurella multocida as well as less studies species such as Lonepinella koalarum. I have been applying whole genome sequencing and phylogenetic analysis for studying strain relatedness and outbreak dynamics, virulence factors, antimicrobial resistance
