Overview

Background

Tianyi is an Early Career Researcher in the field of Parenting and Family Psychology. His research has been recognised through over AU$100,000 in research grants and awards, 17 refereed journal articles, one book chapter, one report, one working paper, 18 conference presentations, and various academic prizes. His earlier work investigated family-level risk and protective factors of positive child development and child mental health and their integration into the wider ecological system. He is also interested in the evaluation of evidence-based strategies to promote child mental health, such as evidence-based parenting programs. He is skilled in advanced quantitative analyses and modelling, evidence synthesis methodologies, conducting clinical trial research, as well as research project management. Tianyi leads research projects in the field and is a sought-after contributor to other research projects as a methodologist and statistician. Tianyi is currently serving on the Editorial Boards of Prevention Science, the flagship journal of the Society for Prevention Research (USA), and Psychology in the Schools.

My research has been cited by researchers from 42 countries (Scopus 05/25). According to Google Scholar (05/25), I have been cited over 200 times with an h-index of 7. According to SciVal (05/25), my overall FWCI is 1.84 and my FWCI in my primary research area of parent training is 2.36. About 86.7% of my work has been published in Q1 journals with 33.3% published in the top 10% journals. The scoping review I published in Social Science and Medicine in 2022 has received 146 citations (GS 05/25), and a FWCI of 7.15 (SciVal 05/25). My work has been cited by the Australian, Irish, and New Zealand governments in policy documents.
